Chad Fothergill is a doctoral student in musicology at Temple University, Philadelphia, where he researches the office of Kantor in the late Renaissance and Baroque periods. In addition, he serves as editorial assistant for the journal Eighteenth-Century Music (Cambridge University Press). Beyond research and teaching, he is active as a substitute church musician in the greater Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas, and previously served congregations and campus ministries in Minnesota, Iowa, and Pennsylvania. He has contributed articles, blogs, and compositions to resources published by Augsburg Fortress and the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.
