Rev Geoffrey C Moore, OSL, Ph.D. candidate (ABD) [he/him/his]. Moore serves as Lead Pastor at St Stephen United Methodist (Mesquite, Texas) and as an Adjunct Professor at Perkins School of Theology and the Perkins Regional Course of Study School. Moore’s publications include “Eucharistic Piety in American Methodist Hymnody (1786-1889)” in Music and the Wesleys (2010); “Hymning the Kingdom: Originating, Resonating, Consummating” in I.A.H. Bulletin (2015); co-author of the entry on Christian hymnody in Oxford Bibliographies: Music (2011); and a contributing author to Sing with Understanding: Exploring the Theology of Congregational Song (3rd ed., forthcoming). He is the Immediate Past President of The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada and a member of the Eucharist Prayer and Theology Seminar.
