Timothy Gabrielli
Candidate for Membership
Timothy R. Gabrielli received the Ph.D. in theology at the University of Dayton in 2014. After six years on the theology faculty at Seton Hill University, he now serves as Gudorf Chair in Catholic Intellectual Traditions at the University of Dayton. Gabrielli’s research stands at the intersection of U.S. Catholic history and sacramental theology. He is the author of Confirmation: How a Sacrament of God’s Grace Became All about Us (Liturgical, 2013) and One in Christ: Virgil Michel, Louis-Marie Chauvet, and Mystical Body Theology (Liturgical, 2017). He is currently at work on a book about sacraments, doubt, and catechesis.
